The fourth-largest river in Africa, Zambezi River spans four countries on its journey from southern Africa to the Indian Ocean. Running for a length of 2,700 km (1,678 mi) from its source in the northwest corner of Zambia, the river provides a habitat for important fish including cichlids, which are fished heavily in the area, and also riverside wildlife such as monitor lizards. Be sure to head towards Victoria Falls, a great spot for scenic photographic opportunities.
