  • We visited the Castle in the evening after a full day of Syrah. The sunset views over the Indian Ocean after an exhausting ascent to the top of the stairs was worth it. Unforgettable views of the sunset and feeling unearthly pleased and disappointed, that all may come to an end.

  • Excellent trip though a shame to see the fortress itself so vandalised. Major attraction is being able to see almost all of the crater from the roof - particularly spectacular at night
