It's a fun drive up if you have a bike, and the views from the top are really lovely. It's a shame that you can't look around inside the buildings, but the view is compensation enough.  more »

There's a nice view out look point, no vendors on the top so it would be better if you bring something up hill. We go off and choose a spot to just sitting on the ground enjoying our oysters, grilled seafood n the boozes. With not too much people n stars on the sky, music, friendship, I think it good enough😃

This lighthouse have very good sight, you can see almost whole Vung Tau city and sea also. But if you don't have any transport, bike or car, it would really pain to come up here. And moreover it was really hard to find a way to here.

Nice place to view the city. Note, maps shows a road connecting the lighthouse and Christ statue, but it is private property. Need to back down and around.

Where to stay in Vung Tau

Most of the accommodations of Vung Tau, you won't be surprised to learn, sit by the beaches. Choose from densely populated areas of budget-friendly hotels and guesthouses, as well as more spacious stretches where large resorts and luxury hotels sit. Search all around the peninsula for the style and price that suits, as nothing here is very far away from the main attraction. Even visitors that stay a bit inland may end up with a place to be proud of, with French colonial hotels set back from the sea.
