Lam Son Stadium, Vung Tau

3.6
Watch greyhounds swish past at Lam Son Stadium, the only legal gambling dog racing venue in the country. Hounds dressed in racing silk cloth chase a fake hare along 450 m (1,476 ft) long tracks made in a converted football stadium in Vung Tau. They let spectators come right at the fence so you can get a good close up view of your favorite but you have to come early for a good position as it gets pretty crowded. The races are held on weekends and the establishment has some 800 dogs. Pet some puppies and get some ice cream. This is a family event here. With our international travel planner, Vung Tau attractions like Lam Son Stadium can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

There's nothing here but CGV movie theater. Anyway CGV always the best quality compared to the other all over Vietnam.

Nothing there, catch a taxi from Imperial hotel to go there and the driver gave us a longer route, along Ha Long street. If you are looking for a mall to go shopping, go to Lotte Mart.

Walked into this, trying to find some food or super market. I was wrong, there's nothing there! Almost close out. There is only a few cloths and some shop still open quietly. There's a cinema on the top floor.

There were only few clothing stores and no customers at all. Prices were really high and there was really nothing to buy. If you wan't to go shopping this is not your place!

Where to stay in Vung Tau

Most of the accommodations of Vung Tau, you won't be surprised to learn, sit by the beaches. Choose from densely populated areas of budget-friendly hotels and guesthouses, as well as more spacious stretches where large resorts and luxury hotels sit. Search all around the peninsula for the style and price that suits, as nothing here is very far away from the main attraction. Even visitors that stay a bit inland may end up with a place to be proud of, with French colonial hotels set back from the sea.
