Take a walk around Duc Me Bai Dau, and enjoy the fresh air and the cooling breeze in the green, well maintained park that offers a number of sites and amenities to see. There’s a cathedral in the park, where you can go to see the architecture; there’s a number of large statues, as well, such as the one of Jesus and Virgin Mary. You can also just find a shaded bench and have a coffee or a snack while reading a book and relaxing. The entrance here is free. • The park in front of the statue is really nice. You can even enjoy the view of the beach from the high when climbing up to the statue. Quite far from the central.
  • there is a big cross on the top. It is tired to get to there but it's beautiful there.
  • The Mary and Baby Jesus Statue (Duc me Bai Dau means Mary of Bai Dau - Bai Dau is the name of this place) is located at Big Mountain along Tran Phu Str and is a peaceful and serene place for a visit. Do drop by the church (Church of Our Lady of Bai Dau Church aka Nha Tho Bai Dau) which is quite deserted during the weekdays. There are also the 14 Stations of the Cross built along the hillside which makes a very meaningful walk for Catholics. Right at the top of Big Mountain is a white cross which can be reached by following a small footpath (if you can call it a footpath at all!) up the slope. The view is great at the top. Be prepared to sweat it out though - it's not an easy climb and there are some rocky obstacles to overcome.
  • Oh, Maria
  • Ascent to the Christian cross on the top of the mountain. Along the way met 15 biblical episodes the way of Jesus Christ. Lifting heavy, but worth it. Views from the Summit are excellent. Recommend to visit before the heat early in the morning or in the evening, under the Sun, you can throw a couple gallons of water.
