  • 1 hour drive from may reserve Chau. Flee the village in may tourism ultra Chau. The Pu Long reserve is the exact opposite. We have crossed in 3 days what one single group of 5 tourists. Departure from Ban Sai, nights in the villages of Ban Hang and Ban Kno Muong and arrival at Pho Doan. Day 1 3: 00 market, 5.30 J2 and J3 3 h. The villages of Tai minority are hyper typical: all traditional houses are on stilts and wooden. The villages are in the middle of the rice fields and tropical forest away from the only road in the region of at least 1 / 2 h. These are true havens of peace. The locals are very friendly and welcoming. Landscapes (rice paddies, tropical forests, bamboo, waterfalls, rolling hills...) are superb. Change of scenery. We sleep in a guesthouse: basic but quite clean comfort and ultimate luxury (there is a shower). C is a good alternative or supplement d a trek minorities of the North: the traditional dress is much more present in the North but also tourists! Pu Long c is much more authentic, not crowded and just as nice. We loved. Complicated to do it alone: paths no tags, villages far from each other, little or no accommodation, not a restaurant... We had a guide and do not regret. We've been through Exo Travel: perfect organization but a bit expensive (I'm sure that d other agencies organise this trek).
