Follow a bright white line of a narrow winding road cut into the mountains at Tram Ton Pass, the highest mountain pass in Vietnam. Enjoy a view of bamboo forests, terraced fields, blue-green valleys at this long passageway between outpost towns of Sapa and Lai Chau, dubbed the Gate of Heaven. Standing at 1,900 m (6,233 ft), this pass offers spectacular panoramas with often stark differences in weather, fog and sun, cold and warm air. Visit traditional villages with different ethnic groups, and check out some scenic waterfalls. There are numerous observation decks along the road.   • We went here in a sunny day during our trip to Sapa. The view was break taking from the pass. This is also the highest road in Vietnam at 2000m above the see level
