Waterfall
Legendary bathing place of the fairies, Love Waterfall rises like a sparkling pyramid of light from a lush bamboo forest speckled with red, white, and yellow rhododendron flowers. The waterfall is attached to a legendary love story of a heavenly fairy, which turned into a bird in order to stay close to her lover--a young flute player. Follow a dirt road through a pristine forest to reach the base of the waterfall. Watch the body of water stumbling down from the peak of a mountain and streaming over golden rocks between plots of green grass and mossy bamboo clusters. Put Love Waterfall into our Sapa vacation route planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • We got the tour via HALONG SAPA EXPERTS website after Fansipan tour and it was extremey great with a nice walk throughout the jungle and beautiful path. Worth it !  more »
  • nice short walk in thru a secondary forest to get to the waterfall. steps and nicely paved trail all the way. the volume of water makes it spectacular to ordinary so the time of year is important.  more »
  • Nothing special from love waterfall, very far from main gate, not so much tourist came here, some Red Zao sell merchandise here, I think I was wasted my time here  more »

  • Come a long way to get there, a small waterfall but very high and beautiful. Should go there and have nice pictures. The sunset is more beautiful.
  • Only for the very fit. It took 30 minutes to het to the base of the falls and then you have ti cross a stream on slippery rocks. The path is narrow (only 30" wide) and uneven and slippery. I am having trouble just walking back. It is misty and visibility is limited. If you have bad knees do not even attempt. There should be a warning at the entrance with the length of the walk and how many steps. There should be at least a hand rail for crossing the stream. I am considering physical punishment for the driver who brought me here. I will learn to ask questions for these king of places. Hope to survive the rest of the hike up to the entrance.
  • The entrance fee is extortionate but the waterfall is nice. A guide we were talking to said you could walk around the ticket booth through the forest a couple of kilometres and end up at the waterfall. Alas we couldn't be bothered to get lost so we paid the fee. Quite cold for swimming!
  • The entrance fee is a bit steep (70.000 VND) but the path leading towards the waterfall is extremely well maintained and there is almost no garbage around (unlike similar attractions in the area). Bare in mind there are many steps you will have to climb on your way back. Also worth a visit is a watch tower on the hill above the entrance. Great views!
  • A long track. Good view at the waterfall. But the ticket is a bit high for just a walk
