Love Waterfall, Sapa
(4.2/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web)
Legendary bathing place of the fairies, Love Waterfall rises like a sparkling pyramid of light from a lush bamboo forest speckled with red, white, and yellow rhododendron flowers. The waterfall is attached to a legendary love story of a heavenly fairy, which turned into a bird in order to stay close to her lover--a young flute player. Follow a dirt road through a pristine forest to reach the base of the waterfall. Watch the body of water stumbling down from the peak of a mountain and streaming over golden rocks between plots of green grass and mossy bamboo clusters. Put Love Waterfall into our Sapa vacation route planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Best waterfall in SaPa, a bit expensive 70.000 vnd, but you can see monkeys and a beautiful waterfall at the end of a 30min trail.
  • Paid 100k VND for a motorbike rent from Sapa town. About 14km away. Had the ride of my life. Totally worth it.
  • A lot of steps on this 1 hour return trip to the Love watterfall. Impressive falls and worth the walk. The walk beside the golden river was also a highlight. 70k entrance ticket plus we paid 450k for a taxi to Silver Falls, Love Waterfall and a final dropoff at the Fansipan cable car station (Legend Hotel). The driver waited for us at both waterfalls.
  • It's definitely a must see if in Sa Pa. Got a taxi there and back from our hotel (in town centre). We paid $25 to see love waterfalls and silver waterfalls. Split between 4 was well worth it as it didn't stop raining. You can get there cheaper on the back of a motorbike, but the roads are very bendy (anothet 500 m above Sa Pa town) and were water logged; so a taxi is a good / safe option. Costs 70000 dong for adults and 30000 for children for entry. Take water and wear comfy shoes. It's quite a climb down to the falls. Probably about 300/400 (if not more?) Steps. Path leading down can get slippy, so take your time. Some rest spots on route to catch your breath. Beautiful views leading down to the falls. Well worth the effort when you reach the bottom. It definitely has a wow factor. When you stand next to the falls (which I did) you will get soaked - you can feel the strength / power of the water, wind and spray. Excellent falls and lovely trek / scenery.
  • Awesome view of the waterfall with an easy to follow trek. Worth the effort!
