  • Paid $65 and not worth the money. Booked through my hostel (Lustig Hostel - really lovely hostel!) so not sure what the company was called. 1st day hike was beautiful, and really different scenery com...  more »
  • Travel from Sapa town to a taxi or motorcycle around 30p. Go to the Mount of Fansipan with a cable car about 10p.

  • Cold and cloudy up there when we visited, so the view up there was pretty limited. Fresh air when you hike up the top. You can take a train up to the top station before hiking up the remaining portion...  more »

  • Crowds and more crowds. Dont visit on weekends and holidays. Afternoons/evenings seem less crowded. Nice views if you get good weather. IMO good but not so special. Valley has better views.
  • It was a great experience that I had a chance to trek up to the great Fansipan mountain. It took me more than 8 hours to reach to the top. I started trekking since 5:30am. I enjoyed the pure nature so much. I went there in October, unfortunately it wasn’t a good weather for trekking at all. It was raining and foggy and unable to see blue sky.
  • Best place for travel. Fresh air, cool. If you're lucky, you'll see snow in the winter, Nice food!😍🥰
  • While rather touristy and a bit pricey, the tram ride alone is worth the trip. We even went when you couldn’t see a hung through the clouds yet found it worthwhile. It looks to be set-up for Chinese tourists that may present future demand. We got right in the cable car with 0 lines. Motorbike parking is a little further away than it needed to be but it’s there.
  • Fansipan is a very high mountain, but it is easy to climb to the top since there is cable car from the Sapa town. The view is still amazing though. I could see Sapa town from the top very clearly. Enormous Buddha statue and temples near the top also make the hiking very interesting and enjoyable.
