Vung Bau Beach, Phu Quoc Island

(2.5/5 based on 85+ reviews on the web)
Unwind at Vung Bau Beach, an isolated long curving stretch of sand in front of a jungle. Secluded, peaceful and 4.5 km (2.8 mi) long, you can find a good spot for skinny dipping. During a walk you can see starfish and conchs and some sea urchins. Paddle a boat, snorkel or scuba dive all of which you can rent from shacks. There is also a beach restaurant providing food and drinks. When sea is calm, this makes a good spot for family visits as the beach gently slopes into the blue sea with long shallows. The foliage is a mix of tall grass, flowers and shrubs and a combination of poplar and coconut palm trees. • Vung Bau Beach, when we were there, there was a strong windy weather that may affect our overall assessment of the beach that may save on some pleasant places like we just not found in this place. However, there were plenty of good restaurants and we also visited the lighthouse an afternoon/evening where we ku tag some images from, scenic views.

  • The approach to this place is really weird. You feel like you're turning into a hotel building site or a quarry but keep your cool and follow the white rabbit on your moped, you will not be disappoint...  more »
  • Peace full place far from big-city stress and hysteria. Very quiet place and plenty of space if you want to be secluded from other people.
