Po Sah Inu Towers, Phan Thiet

(4/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Marvel at exquisite architecture of Po Sah Inu Towers, an impressive red brick complex of three towers overlooking the distant South China Sea. Perched on a hilltop, these exquisite 8th-century towers made without mortar, offer exciting views of Phan Thiet and distant coastline across green hills. The main tower, standing 15 m (49 ft) tall and dedicated to Lord Shiva, houses a large linga and yoni monolith. Take a stroll along the complex’s garden with magnolia trees and admire two other small towers dedicated to Rigvedic deities Agni and Nandi, once a hallmark of the powerful Cham Kingdom. • The Cham towers are well worth a visit. You are not so expensive, about fifteen thousand's per person entrance fee. Buy drinking beforehand and bring. There are many stores that want to turn something of a on-site. Goods can be reached by public bus. Taxi would be too expensive. Bus costs just a few cents. Simply the cashier a picture of the towers then know where you want to and let one usually, when you have to go out show in the bus. You need no bus stop. Return just bus wait and waving, if one approaches. Caution, do not enter in Hotel transfer buses (which want to take sometimes with one for a few bucks), but rather on the right buses (think no. 1 and 9) wait.

  • The root of the Buddhist group of Chame goes back far in history. Today only a few (ca. 100000) live in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. The temple (2) phenomenon Thiet are decorated beautifully to festivals. Is this views over the village and the sea. Rewarding trip for a change.

  • In January 2017 rested in Muine. During the tour, Phan Thiet visited reservation Cham, reserve-unusual architecture-temples, towers the brightness of natural colors, view from the top of the Vietnamese Pagoda with a huge statue of Guanyin, visiting shops, buying souvenirs-impressions of the sea! Highly recommend-cheap and cool. Very inexpensive and relatives bought quality gifts from local silk and clay (wraps, purses, vases), prices are democratic and we can haggle. In other places, too, there are such things, but much more expensive.
