  • Such an unspoilt uncovered place to visit. Trip highlight for me for sure. Cable car to get up there too - what more could you want?!  more »
  • At 30 km from the capital of the province is Mount Thiet Taku (475 m), which is the largest pagoda in Asia of the reclining Buddha. The road is not tedious, guide with a rare name May talked about life in the province and Vietnam. Made a stop near the plantation of the Dragon heart, looked at how to ripen fruits, made the photo. At the foot of the mountain left a bus in the parking lot and went to the cable car (1650 m) on the pretty outdoor electric car. TSD comes up first, and then descends down to the foot of the stairs of the 300 steps that need to be overcome-to convince fans of Buddha, only managed to overcome everything can turn to him with a request. Raised with stops, admired the opened views, so the upgrade was not tedious. At the top of the mountain jungle lies a huge white Buddha (49 m) with closed eyes and peaceful person. As explained to us a guide, reclining Buddha attained enlightenment and is in Nirvana, so it has this expression on his face. Had the day off on the mountain had many locals among the trees arranged picnics. Some were looking for something in the foliage, we agreed that the fungi, but it turned out that they collected the crabs. On the mountain are inhabited land crabs, rather large, red. The road is downhill took a bit of time. Along the stairs a lot of small shops with a variety of crafts and souvenirs. An interesting tour, took a little more than 4 hours of Muine. Bought in 1001, $50 tour for two people. Everything is organized well, van clean and comfortable. Recommend.

  • Fun to ride the cable car with otherwise it was probably a little too hot to get up here when we were there. Many stairs after the cable car to get to the top.

  • The place is absolutely breathtaking once you get to the top! However, I have chosen to hike up there. Apparently, it was the same way the building material for the statue was brought up there by the monks. It was an okay hike with loads of wildlife, slow water streams, bird singing and RUBBISH everywhere! What a disgrace! Why does no one care? Is that cause most of the tourists take the cable car? Cable car owners have no cash to spare to clean it? There's another mountain growing. A RUBBISH mountain and Old Ho Chi Min would turn in his grave when he saw that! Be ashamed the polluters and the officials that do not care! 👊👎
  • 👍👍👍😎🏯🏰🏯
  • The temple is located in the mountainous area, the vast landscape, has damaged the real damage. From the temple up where the Buddha sits, we just awarded the exhibition medium scenic workout very rewarding.
