Mua Caves, Ninh Binh
(4.4/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web)
Though not a particularly notable site on its own, Mua Caves boast unobstructed views that many visitors seek. Next to the cave entrance, follow a 500-step staircase leading up the peak. Once you arrive at the top, you will see another cave complex as well as southern Vietnam's limestone mountain. Many visitors like to come here at sunrise or sunset, but you can climb up at any time of day. If you prefer to only see the cave, you may want to bring a flashlight, as it is small and dark. Make Mua Caves part of your personalized Ninh Binh itinerary using our Ninh Binh trip builder.

  • Two caves we saw bit if a flop but the view from the top of the stairs was amazing. Would rate you do the climb but the caves didn't appeal to me very much
  • My friend originally only wanted to see Tràng An, but I insisted that we visit Mua based on the photos of it I found on the internet. We were both very impressed by the views on top of the hill.
  • Wow! You can find a few of the best views here. There are some caves aswell, but they're not very big to be honest. The main reason for a visit is the 500 step stairway up. ( well, 481 actually :D ) A...  more »

  • This is the place that you can see tam coc from the best point. If you reach there at September. I think it will be the best view with golden rice paddies along the rivef
  • In my opinion, the entrance fee is quite expensive, i.e 100k VND, considering that it is only stairs, one pagoda and no information about the place. The view is alright though. The stairs are steep, so make sure you wear proper shoes.
  • Great view after a lot of stairs, which make you sweaty. You should get there easily by bike or motorbike. Only one downside is admission which is quite high...100k.
  • The place really worth a visit although the price is a little bit high ($4 but no indications and in the middle of a resort). If you are looking for the perfect view of the area, this is your place. It's not easy to get to the top (there's no shade and the steps are very steep). Make sure to bring enough water, you will need it and there's no shops throughout the way. Enjoy the view!!
  • Really worth a visit if you are in the Ninh Binh/Tam Coc area. Take some water for the walk up since there is no shop whatsoever.
