  • A nothing to shout about Museum. You may want to give it a pass unless you are into the sea creatures that you can see at any aquarium. The displays is a little scarce for it's title - National Oceano...  more »
  • This colonial-built museum is located near the Sea Island pier and has a lot of exhibits to look at in the museum when you return to the island.

  • A sober building unremarkable came back a little from the port city in southern Nha Trang, 4-bus stop is the National Maritime Museum. Not only at the Museum at the Aquarium, we type of fish fear that fish for many fish species from the rich and lovely. There is a variety as a preserved specimen of a giant whale and dugong, Akon stuffed. It is somewhat eerie room lined with formalin pickle. If you look carefully it takes half a day.

  • Very good job considering it is government run with a focus on local education. Entry is less than $2usd and reachable on the No. 4 bus heading south. I liked the high diversity of displays. Many displays wouldn't come with a commercial operation like local fishing techniques and pollution education. Maybe the larger specimens were a little cramped but seemed as happy as animals in lager tanks. I think things slowly improve given the evolution of reviews. 1st-worlders have their standards but remember, Vietnam is still developing, as this place will over time. This type of facility is definitely a step in the right direction as it educates locals to appreciate their own environment.
  • They have a wide variety of ocean animals and fish on display. Although the fish tanks appeared fairly clean, many of the larger fish and animals were living in terrible conditions. The saddest part was probably the sea turtles and the manatee they have, they looked so stressed and even sick, in their algae filled and cramped tanks. They do have a magnificent collection of preserved specimens, but it didn't make up for how some of the animals were housed.
  • This is a good place for education about sea creature. A lot of weird sea animal that had never seen before. They got seal, turtle, finding dory fish, stone fish, sea apple, whale bone, and more. Must visit and see by your own eyes. But this building not maintained well. Old and bad smell. Airconditioner not function. This place is easy to find due it using same road that goes to Vinpearl. You can take bus number 4 (Nha Trang city - Vinpearl) which is cost about 7k VND.
  • Worth to visit. Some areas were not maintained really well, especially the place where some creatures were kept in like 500 jars, making the visit there somehow creepy. The other areas were quite enjoyable though, with some fishes (beautiful and non) I've never seen.
  • Interesting place to visit. Not as big as it advertised.
