Long Son Pagoda, Nha Trang

3.8/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web
Admire a huge 24 m (79 ft) tall statue of White Gautama Buddha--the largest outdoor scultpure in Vietnam--at Long Son Pagoda, the largest pagoda in the country. Intricate dragon mosaics made of glass and ceramic tiles decorate the entrance to the temple, with the large statue of the reclining Buddha resting in the temple’s well-manicured garden. Climb 152 steps to the top of the mountain to enjoy the big Buddha arising from lush greenery from a distance, as well as gaining panoramic views over the city. • It was a really nice site to visit and not a bad climb up a 100 steps. At the entrance there are statues of dragons and beautiful mosaic,at the next level after about 30 steps (entrance on the side) y...  read more »
  • Free of charge. Within the city limits. Before entering a lot of beggars, trying to play the role of guides, is joyful vsuchivajut smoking sticks-do not buy! All this completely free offers a monk inside. Temple clothing must cover the knees, elbows. You will have to climb many stairs-keep this in mind. Hat was not superfluous to me, like a small bottle of water. At the top not only sanctuary, statue of the Buddha and great views, but ... the cemetery, like a wall at the crematorium-many many vmurovannyh wall plates-obelisks. There have arrived by taxi, 30th, back lazily reached on foot, and on the way went into a couple of shops.

  • If you are staying in Nha Trang and haven't visited here drop their case and go for beauty and serenity to Long Sơn Pagoda! P.s: If you want to go inside the temple, follow the tradition of Buddhist religion-covered shoulders and knees for both women and men!

  • The white Buddha is a must see also there is a lain down Buddha halfway to the top. The temple itself was under under refurbishment at the time of my visit so I cannot comment on that however with most temples it's advisory to wear conservative clothing if you wish to gain entry.
  • Big Buddahs in this pagoda and beautiful architecture, but don´t go there if its too hot, lots of steps :)
  • Two beautiful statues. The temple doesn't look or feel like Buddhist. Is all full of trash, turists and "guards" smoking cigarettes. They are rebuilding or bringing down the place (no idea) and is all cristianized: they charge you for "blessing" you!! Buddhism is absent.
  • Other that the huge sitting buddha at the top, don't miss out on the lying buddha midway up the hill. Reminds me of the same sleeping buddha in Bangkok!
