Vinh Trang Temple, My Tho

(4.4/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
See the mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, European and Cambodian architectural styles all in one by visiting Vinh Trang Temple. The 19th century pagoda is on the banks of a canal, and has five buildings and two beautiful gardens. Marvel at the statues of various Buddhas, such as Gautanama and Amitabha, as well as the representations of some boddhisattvas and arahants. Take a walk in the gardens, among many pots with plants, flowers, and decorative and fruit trees, and relax in the serenity of the nature. • Pagoda Vinh Trang (great vehicle) built in 1849 is a place of worship, but also a school for novice monks. This pagoda is the largest in the South of VIETNAM. It is decorated in various styles, khmer, Chinese, and Vietnamese. In the park there are gigantic sculptures of Buddhas (standing, sitting, lying down) 3. The gardens are well maintained
