White Sand Dunes, Mui Ne
(3.4/5 based on 1,600+ reviews on the web)
Explore one of Vietnam's most intriguing geological oddities at White Sand Dunes. You can reach this vast expanse of barren land via motorcycle, bicycle, or jeep. The jeep tour includes visiting many peculiar natural attractions, fishing villages, and a small lagoon covered in lotus flowers. Notice how no camels roam the desert-like landscape, as the local shepherd only herd cows near the coastal area. You can also rent a four-wheel ATV to speed through the sandy hills and enjoy the breeze in your hair. With our world travel planner, Phan Thiet attractions like White Sand Dunes can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Definitely fun to do, beautiful beautiful dunes. We had two quads 800000 dong with which we rented for twenty minutes through the dunes if crossen. We rain no explanation, except we practice could give gas. Unfortunately my first quad problems, I got another. Second I drove, because we are on a piece of reason where we were not allowed to come. Was not clear to us ... man of the company talked in unclear, irritated language

  • Quad bikes are quite annoying - during the sun rise go to the left dune,at least there the quads don't drive directly past you
  • The white dunes are really beautiful, but they turned this place into a tourist trap. Parking is quite far from the dunes away, so they want to sell a Quad-tour (too expensive). On the dunes itself th...  more »

  • I was surprised to find Sahara-like sand dunes in Vietnam. They are 35 min away from Mui Ne by scooter. You can go by yourself and pay just the entrance fee (15000 vnd) and walk around, once there you can rent ATV and 4WD, but that would be more expensive. Decide by yourself!
  • The sand dunes are cool and it's beautiful with the lake beside. They demand 15 000 dong/pax to get to the parking spot where they wanted us to pay 5 000 more for parking but I refused and they eventually said ok. You can rent ATVs at the parking spot, which we did for 600k dong (2 people on one ATV), but it's not worth it at all. Just walk for a couple of minutes up to one of the tops and you will see enough. The people working there was rude and we regret paying them anything at all.
  • Dunes are almost white. We went there an early morning, tu see the sun rise... The sun is far far away, no sea in front. What we prefer was to see the big moon getting down. Place crowded, surrounded by quads they want to sell you (btw, you can go by feet to the dune AND see the sun rise )
  • Would recommend to go there in the morning to get the sunrise. Nice and peaceful and great scenery
  • Place may be sandy advise to cover your mouth as the sand may go in. Go in the day time as it is great to take the picture with.
