Landmark Tourist Spot
Explore one of Vietnam's most intriguing geological oddities at White Sand Dunes. You can reach this vast expanse of barren land via motorcycle, bicycle, or jeep. The jeep tour includes visiting many peculiar natural attractions, fishing villages, and a small lagoon covered in lotus flowers. Notice how no camels roam the desert-like landscape, as the local shepherd only herd cows near the coastal area. You can also rent a four-wheel ATV to speed through the sandy hills and enjoy the breeze in your hair. With our world travel planner, Phan Thiet attractions like White Sand Dunes can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Yes, white dunes are nice, but there are a lot of mess and the company which provides jeep for 1 hour is terrible. It is just 5 min riding to place where you have to do photos...  more »
  • Came here as part of a tour, loved the dune buggy ride through the white sand dunes. Just amazing! Well worth the trip and a must do!  more »

  • It's nice. I went to the dunes via a tour bus from my hotel. I walked up instead of renting an ATV or paying to be driven up. Pros: > It's pretty. > It's nice early in the morning before it gets too hot. Cons: > It's hard work walking to the top. > It get crowded rather quickly. > The noise from all the ATVs will ruin any tranquil moments you might have. Tips: > The White Dunes are far better than the Red Dunes. Skip the Red dunes and just see these and the Fairy Stream. > If you've ever seen any dunes before, then skip this too and just see the Fairy Stream. All dunes are essentially the same; tons and tons of sand.
  • Came to mui ne to see the sunrise at the sand dunes but it was a cloudy morning :') it is rather crowded with tourists and the sound of the atv just ruins everything. The hike up took around 15mins or longer because walking on sand is not as easy. But still for someone who hasn't seen a sand dune before it was great.
  • Sand dunes were good to see, nothing to amazing. They push you to hire bikes to cruise around the dunes on.
  • Careful with the corrupted police!! It's a great place to see. But It's probably saver to take tour with a local by car. I was riding same speed right after few locals and got stopped for speeding. They will ask you for fines over $200. Be patient and wait. You might be able to negotiate to bribe down to $50. Someone was advising to keep going and ignore them. It's not worth it. I tried it :) They just get more angry.
  • Awesome view. Expensive to rent atv or jeep though. Consider just walking into the dunes yourself, avoiding the harassing sales people.
