Pongour Falls, Lam Dong Province

(4.5/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy pristine nature at Pongour Falls, a popular tourist destination and place for many religious festivities. Dropping across a cascade from 40 m (131 ft), the water pours over a layered and terraced wall of rock which reduces its force making the scene look tame and poetic. According to a legend the waterfall silky streams were once hair of a beautiful beast tamer and slabs of rock were fossilized horns of her four obedient white rhinos. The waterfall stretches some 100 m (328 ft) amidst lush greenery and cicada sounds. Observe the falls from a restored royal pavilion if you do not want to walk. • One of the biggest and beautiful waterfalls. To my delight, there was no pridela, something absolutely incredible and wonderful. Its magnitude is simply not transferred through photography More 100 metres wide Waterfall surrounded by 25 acres of unspoiled Pongur tropical forest. From the entrance to the waterfall must pass about 700-900 meters down through the cozy Park with benches, gazebos. This is the place you want to see with your own eyes

  • Dalat city haven't quite developed tourism, as it seemed to me. .. Very few Vietnamese understand English language, all communication at the level of the gestures. Initially, we came here to slip from Nha Trang with the aim of Basho an independent tourism, resulting in visited the vodpady, namely, Datanla Prenn and Pogur. Really wanted to go to the waterfall, but Elefant is not able, and at Gougah (it is not found on the network coordinates: (() so, Datanla-worth a visit because of jelektrosanej)) For us, it was a novelty) and immediately buy a return ticket, so it will be cheaper. Prenn waterfall popsovyj-almost everything is arranged for the Russians, the Russians, the sea of tourists on the standard tour, etc, that we don't like, so rushed to continue the path to Pongura. The ride was comfortable enough, in addition to the settlements with the repairs of the road, but there were no precendentov) On Pongure was parked just a dozen mopeds ... Basically, these were local and Chinese, was a Russian family, travelling on a motorcycle in Asia. The waterfall is the most entertaining of all, he visited a semi-circle surrounds you, and realize that you're such a grain of sand compared to him) I think that those who travel package of Nha Trang on 2 days in Dalat would very much regret that they did not bring on Pongur) There you can arrange a separate picnic on the rocks, or there are a couple of "cafes", selling kebabs and something like a baked sweet potato. Conclusion-the ride is a must! Dalat Uscita 7 am, at Pongure by noon we were (visiting already Datanlu and Prenn), where they spent three hours ...

  • The falls are visually fantastic. We've seen waterfalls in Hawaii, Iceland, the US and elsewhere. These falls are in the top three, for sure. We rented a scooter from our hotel and rode out there (eve...  more »

  • Best among 3 waterfalls visited. Been to Datanla and Prenn. When I was there, very few visitor. Met an elderly China couple whom rented a motorbike and rode there themselves! If you are coming by plane, do visit this 1st before going to Dalat City. It's located at opposite side of Dalat City from the airport. If you travel from Dalat City, you'll still pass by the airport and it'll be almost an hour ride by taxi, costing around V$400,000 1 way.
  • Huge and amazing waterfalls. I got lucky and visited them a sunny day after an intense week of rain so they looked spectacular. They are located around 40 km away from Da Lat city, but you go mainly through the "highway" (sometimes can be very bumpy)
  • The beautiful waterfall in Duc Trong province in which take about 1hour for motorbike. The ticket is 20,000 vnd/ 1person and extra 5,000 vnd for parking. That's is very good price ( about 1$ in total). It's not crowded and worth to visit there!
  • Most beautiful Waterfall in South Vietnam, you need to rent a car or included this place to your package trip because it stay on the way from Da Lat to Mui Ne.
  • 5,000 vnd for parking. 10,000 vnd entrance fee. Not as big as elephant but more beautiful. Locals go here, few tourists. I recommend a drive on motorbike ($5) to get there you can see good views.
