Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh aims to contribute to ending bear farming in Vietnam, and provide a haven for bears--whether confiscated or voluntarily given up by their owners--where they will be cared for properly. Parallel with rescuing and rehabilitating former bile bears all across Vietnam, the sanctuary has been carrying out continuous education programs for the younger generation to enhance their awareness of animal welfare, nature protection and biodiversity conservation. There is also a shop to sell environmentally and locally produced souvenirs, as well as a bistro overlooking the tranquil sanctuary serving tasty vegan/vegetarian dishes made from fresh, locally grown ingredients. All of the income will go directly towards taking care of bears. Free entrance, Wi-Fi, and parking for everyone. Please check the website for accurate opening dates and times and other important details. (text supplied by listing owner/manager). A visit to Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Nho Quan online itinerary planner to plot your vacation.

We got the tour option which gave us an insight to how the bears were taken care of and the kinds of conditions they were rescued from. Recommend visiting here as they are doing great work and all...

Paid for the guided tour was 150k and worth every Dong. Enjoyed learning about the bears and their history. Also enjoyed a vegetarian lunch which I would recommend!

We were a bit pressed for time when we got here and so opted for the self guided tour as the assisted tour was another hour wait. It was a very short tour where you can go up the skywalk and look...

Me and my boyfriend just visited and it was amazing! I was trying to contact them in advance to book a guided tour but I sent my message after they were closed. In the morning I was worried I didn’t book the tour soon enough but they replied right away and said I was set for a guided tour today! We walked through the sanctuary and learned all about the sad history of the bears. Our guide was very clear and informative. We saw quite a few bears playing and eating! Then we had free time on the skywalk to read and watch all the bears from above. I recommend doing the guided tour so you can learn and ask all your questions and see the bears from the ground, and since it included the skywalk tour anyways why not. Plus, all the proceeds go 100% to taking care of the bears! We took a private car from our homestay in Trang An and it was so worth it. The best times to see the bears are from 9-10am, 1-2pm, and 4-5pm because this is when they are being fed throughout the sanctuary. The restaurant also had great food! Make sure to get the passion smoothie, it was huge and delicious. Hope this helps more people visit :)

Such a lovely place, my guide was knowledgeable and passionate and the bears are so well cared for. Wish more people knew about this sanctuary!

This is a well organized bear sanctuary. You can go there and get guided tours. Our guide spoke really good english and told us a lot about what they do and how they rescue the bears. She showed us their kitchen, their little workshop to design toys and hammocks for the bears and the different enclosures. Afterwards you can walk the skywalk to watch the bears from above and you can have a look in their lovely souvenir shop. We had an awesome time there and would highly recommend a visit.

Very lovingly designed sanctuary. The guide was really competent and gave us a good overview of the history and everyday life of the bears.

It's just overwhelming, how Four Paws rescues and takes care of those bears. It fulfilles me, that I could support this non profit organization with my visit ❤️
