Tu Dam Pagoda, Hue
(4.2/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
See the statue of Ton Thich on lotus, and witness incredible architecture of Tu Dam Pagoda. Built in 17th century, the temple used to be a meeting space for Buddhist monks. Stand in front of it to see yin and yang roof decorated with dragons. Firstly go through the forecourt, then continue to central chamber, and lastly see the ancient area. The pagoda stands for freedom of religion, and played important role in developing Buddhism. Walk around the garden, and take the time to appreciate the holiness of the site. • It rained so hard here we had to hide a way for a while but I think that we saw all we needed to. Very interesting and worth a visit.
  • We were taken to this pagoda by our driver as our second stop in a 5 stop tour. It was a very beautiful pagoda all located in a very small area overlooking the Perfume River
