Tu Dam Pagoda, Hue
(4.1/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
See the statue of Ton Thich on lotus, and witness incredible architecture of Tu Dam Pagoda. Built in 17th century, the temple used to be a meeting space for Buddhist monks. Stand in front of it to see yin and yang roof decorated with dragons. Firstly go through the forecourt, then continue to central chamber, and lastly see the ancient area. The pagoda stands for freedom of religion, and played important role in developing Buddhism. Walk around the garden, and take the time to appreciate the holiness of the site. • It was nice friendly monks on the spot. The pagoda was not overrun by tourists. But we were there around noon.

  • We rented a boat, just the 2 of us, went to the Pagoda toured and had a pleasant boat ride back. It was definitely a must see. Rent a boat from under the bridge.
  • We were surprised to see such a beautiful sight well kept by the monks. It was very tranquil with lots of interesting flora and fauna as well
