Trang Tien Bridge, Hue

3.7
#56 of 146 in Things to do in Hue
Visit Trang Tien Bridge where the north and south of Hue meet. Built on the place of a bamboo bridge, the construction stands as a legacy of the architect Gustave Eiffel and the French Governor Levecque who saw a need for the city’s modernization. Finished in 1899, the concrete bridge cost over 400,000,000 dong at the time; however, the structure has to be renovated in 1906. Take a walk on 401 m (1,315 ft) and enjoy the gentle river breeze as you overlook the city landscape. It is a bridge between old town and new town of hue. Passed to rent bikes at the hotel located in new town, went to the Royal Palace. Was running a trail bike, don't feel the driveways are too heavy motorcycle traffic many crossed the press on a bicycle trail, so had to run too. It is frightening to take the infant, riding bicycles on Viet Nam. Bridge's trusses drift retro feel a little Pier. It was unexpectedly long walk bridge. Maybe the bike bridge bike traffic is terrific, Viet Nam was impressed with the air. Color or color changing night light up, so it is quite beautiful.

For that, a bridge without too much charm over the river perfume, with views of the city and the river. Bridge without charm and dispensable visit.

Hue has pedestrian streets and parks that are on the river banks. This Bridge has protected pedestrian walkway that connects the parks on either side of Huong Giang. There are runners, walkers, and Tai-Chi practitioners all using the bridge at the same time, just weave around. Using the bridges that cross the river you can create a running loop in the early morning. Also a great place to capture sunrise images. There are multiple outdoor cafes where people meet to socialize over coffee with views of the river, bridges, and river traffic. The rhythmic exhaust notes from the passing boats doesn't disturb the morning calm but add to the experience as the hot coffee wake the senses.
