Perfume River, Hue

(2.1/5 based on 1,500+ reviews on the web)
Fragrant flowers from nearby orchards drop into the gently streaming water of Perfume River, giving it a specific aroma and a peculiar name. The meandering river originates in the Truong Dong Mountains and runs very slowly for 30 km (18.6 mi), until it darkens, deepens, and hastens near the Ngoc Tran Mountain. Go on a boat excursion to observe the surrounding villages and colorful natural wonders. Some boaters may insist on selling you their wares and souvenirs, so either prepare to bargain, or kindly refuse their persistent offers. Put Perfume River at the forefront of your travel plans using our Hue travel itinerary maker.

  • The small cruise on the perfume River is nothing exceptional; fragrances are very contemporary and refer to the pollution of the water.

  • Major navigable river. Nothing remarkable, overgrown Bank on the one hand, on the other from the embankment area and sculptures and Park. You can rent a boat with a day tour on the River with a visit to the tombs.

  • Don't let the name fool you, it doesn't smell good! From what I saw it is just a large river, there did not seem to be much different or special about this river than any i'd seen before. It was quite...  more »
