Dong Ba Market, Hue

2.6
#3 of 7 in Shopping in Hue
At Dong Ba Market buy specialties from locals, affordable clothes, and souvenirs. The market mostly sells fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, and seafood. If buying to make a dish by yourself, don’t forget the spices characteristic to this culture. However, you can try delicious prepared food at the food stalls. In addition to food, you can buy house items, clothes, footwear, and jewelry. Here, vendors sell traditional souvenirs, such as conical hats with lines of poems on them. When buying, always bargain to get the best price, as it is expected from you. Put Dong Ba Market and other Hue attractions into our Hue trip itinerary maker tool , and watch your holiday take shape.

Hué largest market. 1 f mainly to grocery, 2nd floor clothing, etc., is maze like, just get a little tired. Near co.op Mart is safe, you can buy.

Proper local market with all the ingredients you know and love in Vietnamese cooking plus household items, clothing, and even hair dressers/beauticians. There are also several small eateries. Anthony Bourdain shot (and ate) here.

Big two floor market. Mostly a working market for the local residents but has touristy items in front. Had a great bowl of bun bo hue from a vendor inside. Was the only non-local person eating from this vendor. Bought a few souvenirs for friends back home and some dried fruit and nuts for myself. Be prepared to be propositioned by person after person offering their services as your local guide...

Food was good, had bun bo hue at a vendor in the market which was delicious. Produce is fresh, and for tourists (who don't speak the language), prices are a bit lower than other major tourist cities (STILL BARGAIN though). Clothing, dried foods and other trinkets can be found here as well. Its bigger than it looks on the outside.

They have everything you need. Souvenirs, Vietnam T-shirt, and foods also. But the market is very narrow and be careful of pickpocket.

Can almost buy everything here! So many things to discover! And very helpful and kind people!
