  • This museum right in Hoi An town is worth a look, but doesn’t require too much time out of your day. We got there mid morning and there was hardly anyone there. It’s on three levels , with the top flo...  more »
  • I tried entry found during walks. Is a respectable appearance of the building, but inside feels old. At the entrance, decorated with the Japan bridge model. Space is 5 floors, but not exhibited anything of note. A method of the display also wants to twist. I think we have buildings and exhibits are a bit weak.

  • This is a good place to learn about the Vietnam-US war. The view from the top of Hoi An is great too.
  • Good short stop. Enjoyed the war relics on the 2nd floor. Make sure to walk to the rooftop for an excellent view of the city and distant mountains.
  • Very small collection of Vietnamese history, however, very informative, quaint, and respectful. The 4th level of the building provides an ariel view of the town which adds a nice touch. Nice clean restrooms. Friendly staff.
  • New building. Despite the name, except for the old items exhibition here, the building itself is no where near historical
  • Nice museum. Some historical pieces. Also the cafe on the top offers a really nice view on the city and the area around!

Where to stay in Hoi An

While Hoi An offers a good selection of sleeping options in all price categories, only a few of them lie in the old town, probably the city's most popular tourist area. To stay near this historic neighborhood, look for hotels in the surrounding streets, especially Ba Trieu and Hai Ba Trung. If you can, look for rooms in the evening, when many budget hotels try to fill up by offering deep discounts. For the best choices and bargains, reserve as early as possible.
