Hoi An Adventure, Hoi An

Had a real good experience with linh at the bicycle Tour! He was very easy to talk to and funny, his English is very good and he made me feel very welcome :) I learned a lot about the daily life in Vietnam, about temples and worship and got to try myself at making a sleeping mat and rice noodles! Talking about weddings and karaoke and symbolism over snacks was really good! Just an allround good Experience - even wearing a poncho because it started to rain suddenly at the end!

BAMBOO IS THE BEST!! My partner and I were lucky enough to have a private tour with bamboo and it was such an amazing time. We went on the walking street food tour and ate some really great food and learnt a lot about Hoi An and saw some cool night life. Bamboo picked us up from our hotel with a taxi to go to the starting point for the tour where we walked with her the rest of the way and she showed us food as well as some sights and told us about herself. She spoke very good English and was incredibly accomodating to what we do and don't like. There was a menu on the website but Bamboo asked us what we liked and took us to places accordingly. BBQ pork, quail egg omlettes, Hoi An pizza and fresh fruit smoothies to name some of the great stuff we tried. We walked and took in the night life near the river as it was the night of the dragon boat festival and she taught us about the design of the boats, the tradition of lighting lanterns as well as some childhood stories which were very endearing. Unfortunately we had to cut the tour short because my partner was sick but it wasn't the food as I ate all the same stuff as her and twice as much. We still feel so bad for being so abrupt in our exit and Bamboo nothing but helpful, finding us a public toilet (very few in Hoi An) for my partner and trying to expedite us home so she could be more comfortable. All in all it was an unforgettable experience for us both and we are both shattered we ended early. We loved getting to know Bamboo and our sterling memories of Hoi An are in no small part attributed to her. Good luck with your studies and we hope you can travel the whole world Bamboo!
