Ba Le Well, Hoi An

Categories: Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web
Peek into a thousand years old shaft to discern a glittering surface of drinking water at Ba Le Well, a historic well and a World Heritage Site. Believed to have been dug in the 10th century, the water from the well was considered essential for the town’s cao lau noodles. Create your own spring rolls at a restaurant built around this ancient well in the garden of Mr. Ba Lo Le, off Kiet Gieng Lane. You will smell it before you see it: barbecued pork served up satay-style with fresh greens and herbs. • Food was delicious and plentiful. Loved being able to roll my own wrap. All the fillings were tasty.Dessert was yummy. Very enjoyable and excellent value for money.

  • Set menu for traditional hoi an grilled pork with spring rolls and rice pancake with a small dessert at the end, it s not my favorite taste but service was good and portions are more than fair.
  • Meals are served as a set here. When I was here, there were four different dishes. Everything was delicious and I could barely finish it all. Highly recommended.
  • Authentic vietnamese food . Don't expect fine dining. Good service. 3 course meal was worth every penny. Value for money.
  • Decent tasting food for a good price. More than you can eat, but BBQ was cold and my wife got diarrhea after eating here. Your mileage may vary. If you do go, the staff is friendly and efficient. Sit in the main dining courtyard rather than in the alley. And I would suggest to ask for hot fresh BBQ instead if settling for what they brought to us.
  • Great food, great price, locals eat here too.
