Nguyen Hue Street, Ho Chi Minh City

Explore Nguyen Hue Street, a commercial hot spot for restaurants, cafes, and hotels. This pedestrian street formerly hosted the city's main flower market. Today, the street boasts lively crowds, packed restaurants, and modern multistory buildings. Take a walk around and people-watch, or dine at one of its many popular establishments. Though the market moved to a different location years ago, an annual flower festival still happens here during the Tet holiday. Nguyen Hue Street is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Ho Chi Minh City Edition.

  • Beautiful quiet road from 19: 00! The surrounding high-rise buildings providing a framework for the road. In the middle is a large illuminated fountain. All transactions represented for emergencies there is also a Mc Donalds with self-service order stations.

  • This is an awesome place to take a stroll in the evening. The place has a really nice vibe to it and there are often performers and Street vendors here. It's such a nice relief from the usually crowded pavements covered in motorbikes. One end is at the river front and the other is at the beautiful Ho Chi Minh city hall
  • Great street to walk in. During the evening sometimes the street gets cordoned off which means pedestrians can only walk down the street and there's a fantastic energy to the place. In the day time there's traffic but in itself it is a great place to be. Feels relatively safe in comparison to the other streets!
  • Great place to stroll along at the heart of the city center. Numerous eating-out places offering a huge variety of food choices. Take a lift at one of the old American apartment buildings near Fahasa bookstore to get to higher floor coffee shops or eatery outlets to sip a cup of coffee or indulge yourself an iced Japanese green tea smoothie to cool a hot day off and watch the world go by as well as enjoy lovely breeze from the nearby Saigon River.
  • I came here frequently. It was always crowded with locals, especially the young. It was not easy to find a parking if you come with your own vehicle. Some bars in small alleys, not in the front of this street, were excellent.
  • this pedestrian zone is so attractive. You can enjoy live performances of many street artists here. If you come here in the afternoons & evenings on Saturdays or Sundays, you can join in many concerts or traditional games
