Dedicated to the goddess of strength, Mariamman hindu temple is said to work wonders for Hindus who worship the goddess within its walls. The colorful 19th-century temple boasts numerous statues of Hindu deities, both in its exterior and interior. Admire the sacred images of Shiva, Brahma, Kali, Vishnu and other gods and goddesses crowding around the walls and rooftops. The scent of joss sticks, lilies, and jasmine--the most popular offerings--fills the air once you enter. In the center of the temple stands a statue of Mariamman, with two guardians by her side. Notice the two lingams--phallic-shaped representations of Shiva--in front of her. • The largest Hindu temple in Saigon. Located right in the heart of District 1 in Saigon. Intricate carvings of Hindu Gods outside and inside. Throughout the day, many devotees come to offer their prayers. Walking distance from Ben Thanh area. Highly recommended place to visit.
  • Located at Truong Dinh Road. Small size temple with significant number of devotees. There are many rituals performed in this temple.
  • Great to know that the temple serves as the place of Hindu worship even now, despite almost nil Tamil / Indian population ...
  • Very negative bike keeper and vender in the fond of the temple. They are very impolite, and uneducation. They force u have to use their service and pay for them money. Be aware!
  • Quite surprised to see a Hindu temple at heart of the city and it is well maintained by locals.
