3.7/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web
Enjoy intense colors in an urban sanctuary of Giac Lam Pagoda, a historic Buddhist pagoda believed to be the oldest temple in Ho Chi Minh City. Standing 65 m (213 ft) tall, this seven story stupa set in a lovely garden with a big Bodhi tree houses countless gilded figures blending Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism. Built in 1744, the temple features a seated statue of the colorful haloed Buddha of Enlightenment with five children climbing all over him, and an elaborate candle holder with images of Buddha. Climb the pagoda and enjoy a panorama of the city from one of its octagonal balconies.
