FITO Museum, Ho Chi Minh City

(4.2/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Visit FITO Museum to examine a collection of almost 3,000 items related to Vietnamese medical practice, with some artifacts dating all the way back to the Stone Age. The exhibited implements used for medical purposes include knives, grinders, pots, and jars, as well as characteristic household objects such as scales, cabinets, teapots, and ceramics. As you roam the traditionally designed museum, notice the preserved old books and documents regarding the history of Vietnamese medicine. Besides asking employees for more details, you can also watch an informative documentary about the evolution of Vietnam's traditional medicine. • A nice approach to Vietnamese traditional medicine in an old House. A small shop on the ground floor to buy tea and ointments.

  • Included in our Saigon package FITO museum visit was luckily, otherwise, this little gem would be us probably escaped. On several floors, to get information about the Vietnamese art of healing and the connection to Chinese medicine. Really worth seeing and interesting.

  • There is absolutely nothing to learn here. You just walk five stories to see ancient pots used to store medicine. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!  more »
