Chợ Dân Sinh, Ho Chi Minh City

3.2
Packed with Vietnam War memorabilia, Chợ Dân Sinh is a place many military buffs will find highly interesting. You can come across all kinds of collectables here, from combat boots, flak jackets, gas masks, camouflage clothing, and identification tags, to flashlights, binoculars, field stretchers, and tents. Although most of the vendors will try to persuade you their items are authentic, don't be surprised if some of them offer to make the war relic you desire. Fakes abound here, so feel free to haggle for a decent price. Work out when and for how long to visit Chợ Dân Sinh and other Ho Chi Minh City attractions using our handy Ho Chi Minh City trip site .

  • The markets aren’t to big but worth a look if you are into military gear and it’s not to busy so you can have a decent look around  more »
  • This is the place to go to for all kinds of tools and machines. It's usually my one reason to come into the city, to get supplies to keep my factory running  more »
  • This market has the tools, materials, goods, surplus. You can think few tools for tourism, but various things are sold, so a little culture shocked (distinction between goods and scrap with a hard (lol)). I smoke because it is often sold as surplus, but the hard truth is buy if you need clarity and. Central food market but, compared to other markets the smell is an understatement (laughs).

  • If you like army goods, then this is the place. If you are looking for tools. Then also this is. They tends to try to over charge same as the other markets, so you need to negotiate anyway.
  • Alot of Fake military. Search hard and you can find good stuff. Keep repeating you want real. Make sure, Google the fake suff.and compare
  • Nuts and bolts hardware market and tools. It has nice selection of used and new army clothing along with water relics. Interesting to walk about.
  • Good place for shopping ..war and military souvenirs
  • While women get all over excited rummaging through Saigon Square, Dan Sinh Market is the place for men to feel amazing. Tools. From screwdrivers to hydraulic presses! Sprockets, valves, ropes and diodes. There are stalls that are specialised in screws of all kinds and colours. Kitchenware, from teapots to freaking planetary mixers. Vintage military gear, from originals to quality copies. Boots and ammo boxes. Even spare parts for industrial machinery can be found here and if they don't have it, they can point you in the right direction. I love this place!
