The central market in the district and a thriving hub for trade in Ho Chi Minh, Binh Tay Market pulsates with authentic everyday market life. Sprawling across street after street, hosting some 600 stalls in both the outdoor and indoor areas, the market jumps to life at the break of dawn, winding down around mid-morning. Awaken your senses with a walk around the maze of fresh produce, hot food, and handicrafts, immersing yourself in the market’s culture of bargain-hunting and haggling. Primarily a wholesale market, prices get cheaper the more you buy. Binh Tay Market Reviews
-
HUGE, crowded market warehouse with much competition from sellers. Not a place you want to be if you are claustrophobic. It is likely to be hot and humid. US$ always welcome. more »

The market is filled with hundreds of stalls selling items. Unfortunately most are selling the same immitation, fake items. To be expected here. We saw a nice helmet we were going to buy but the woman... more »

It's been fun visiting this market. Really was interested to buy some things but buying is tricky because of problems with communication. Almost no English at all. Some sellers were nice some you will... more »

This is primarily a wholesale market. If you come here, don't be surprised if most of the vendors ignore you, and if you ask for a price they will open with "wholesale". The one side of the market has a restaurant section, and the interior courtyard has a small shrine. It is an interesting place, but for actually buying souvenirs and such, there are better markets to attend.

Be prepared to be rejected when you counter offer. This is where your special negotiations skill comes in! 😂 Other than that, you get local delicacies food, plenty of "original" clothes like under armour and Reebok. Lots of kitchenwares, dry foods, stationeries, anything you can think off. Put your charm away and take your calculator out! 😂 Enjoy it while you can 💪

It is a huge place, well organized. The variety of products are amazing. It is clean and spacious. This market targets local, so prices are not negotiable. Bought some cashew, big and reasonably priced. Shops around the market are very interesting too, don't miss them if time is sufficient.

Wholesale market. Some items can still be bought in small quantities but not all. I got some trendy hats as souvenirs, a nice traditional costume for my niece If you are hungry there is plenty of food in the market. A nice structure sits in the center of the market, great for photos There are also many Chinese shops along the streets outside the market. Bought a lot of Chinese New Year decorations for the year of pig

Amazing market, even though there's a lot of hectic and a lot of articles, nobody is really trying to pull you into their store. Good experience and a lot of local things to get, even though it's a bit out of the center of Saigon it's a great place to visit
