Although a long way from Saigon, it is worth the trip and time to go and see, a different perspective on the war.
Very nice place to visit, that can know more about their history and war information. There are gun shooting area, but I think it is too expensive. (Bcos each bullet cost around $35000 dong, and u need to but at least 10. Especially if u been to Cambodia or Thailand... the bullets won't cost that much) The guide very friendly and humour.
Well worth a look as part of the Cu Chi tunnels experience. Don't burn your money on the gun shooting. They are mounted so you don't get a genuine feel and expensive.
This tunnel is only a small part of cu chi tunnel network. And the area is mainly for officer of VC. If you want to see a larger tunnel, visit Ben Duoc instead
Day tour from Saigon, can combine with a visit to the giant pagoda, starting with a long bus tour from HCMC, located in the jungle. Defense of the Vietnamese army, worth seeing. Beware many mosquitos and very muggy. Anyone interested after the tour can go for target practice. (Additional costs)
The tunnel is very narrow, not suitable for people who is claustrophobic, but if you manage to get through the whole 100m, it's a great experience. Firing range is also an attraction. You can buy the bullets to a bunch of gun and fire, with supervision from the army.
