Ben Dinh Tunnels, Ho Chi Minh City
(4.4/5 based on 95+ reviews on the web)
Experience a life of a guerilla patriot and go underground to fight an overwhelming invader at Ben Dinh Tunnels, a popular tourist site part of a huge system of tunnels. Slither past the dark tunnel 1.2 m (3.9 ft) tall and 0.8 m (2.6 ft) wide walls and snake up and down the underground corridor. Some 50 m (164 ft) in length shown to visitors is part of tens of thousands of miles of tunnels dug by Viet Cong to fight better supplied US troops. Check a large map of the extent of the network and cross-section of the tunnels and see a disabled M-41 tank and a bomb crater at the exit Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Ben Dinh Tunnels by using our Ho Chi Minh City tourist route planner.

  • You have to let it settle. You come here with the thought of a terrible war. First you get a propaganda story about the poor peasant woman who provoked against the evil American monsters, rebelled. Then you run a round where they show how they used the tunnels in their guerilla war and I still at the shooting range where you with various heavy weapons can popping. Then you go in the tunnels, but those are gigantic increases to thick tourists by. It's all just really, but has the character of tourist attraction and not a relic of one of the horrible wars of the 20th century. It stores the shelf a bit wrong, but of course is a must for any traveler to Viet Nam. I found the trip up to it more interesting. First contact with the Vietnamese countryside.

  • It was a really tight squeeze and i am just 1.62m, i had to crouch down just to crawl through. It is pitch dark at certain parts of the tunnel. Can't recall the exact length I had crawled but it was g...  more »

  • A great place to learn that Vietnamese people are amazing, they have brilliant strategy, strong will and discipline. This is not a place designed for you to have fun, it's a place to help you learn.. what you hear about Vietnam war is not always true. This place teach lessons of life and you can really feel that this is just happened like yesterday. I come back with sad feeling, but it's a need for you to see this real thing happened.
  • Enjoyed this. We were one of many tour groups but our guide was good. The tunnels were very claustrophobic and I secretly enjoyed seeing others freak out 😈 didn't really enjoy having a snack at the shooting range.
  • We did the river tour to get to the Cu Chi tunnels and it was phenomenal. Really eye opening experience but had a lot of propaganda. Must do while in Ho Chi Minh.
  • I could feel the pain of war.
  • Very nice place to visit, that can know more about their history and war information. There are gun shooting area, but I think it is too expensive. (Bcos each bullet cost around $35000 dong, and u need to but at least 10. Especially if u been to Cambodia or Thailand... the bullets won't cost that much) The guide very friendly and humour.
