Ben Dinh Tunnels, Ho Chi Minh City

Experience a life of a guerilla patriot and go underground to fight an overwhelming invader at Ben Dinh Tunnels, a popular tourist site part of a huge system of tunnels. Slither past the dark tunnel 1.2 m (3.9 ft) tall and 0.8 m (2.6 ft) wide walls and snake up and down the underground corridor. Some 50 m (164 ft) in length shown to visitors is part of tens of thousands of miles of tunnels dug by Viet Cong to fight better supplied US troops. Check a large map of the extent of the network and cross-section of the tunnels and see a disabled M-41 tank and a bomb crater at the exit Using our world travel planner, Ho Chi Minh City attractions like Ben Dinh Tunnels can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Impressive to see, if you are in Ho Chi Minh, then you should go here. Of course it's touristy, thus you can go too. Here we ourselves are gone. You can also visit Cu Chi tunnels, that is an entrance on the other side, but there seems to be much busier. We have chosen this way to go and that was for us a good choice. We are gone there myself with a Grab. Asked if the driver wanted to wait, have paid him and he brought us back neatly to our hotel. So glad that we have done! That saved us a lot of money and time that an organized trip would cost. You paid there entrance and there are there guides around that you tell everything during the round through the area where the tunnels are. He talked good English and our guide was funny Spry. We have to zn lips hung, very impressive to see and to hear his stories. You may pay him with a tip, not a must, I gladly paid for what he told us all. Spicy piece of history of Viet Nam

  • - Tunnel exploration was fun. - Had a lot of props and traps. - Gift shop needs improvements. - Official movie explaining stuff was really really old and needs to be remade. Was hard to understand what was going on. - shooting range was too loud for people without headphones.
  • Superb place. Worth seeing all the tunnels and real war equipment. Great insight in to what goes on with a war , its just not shooting!!
  • Great place for a history lesson and to see how ingenious the VC were. The tour could have been a bit better. The equipment used for the film show was old and the audio was terrible. They could improve it vastly by just upgrading to digital instead of the scratchy old VHS.
  • Didn't know what to expect, very informative. Lots of people but well organised small groups.
  • I recommend going with a tour, like Vietnam adventure tour, because they organise transport there and back and provide stories of each part. You can also go inside the tunnels but it's very small, you cannot stand and have to crawl. It can be for a long time. You can also shoot an ak 47, it's about 5 USD for 5 bullets. While you are going through the tour you can hear the ak 47 going off all the time, which makes it more realistic. Imagine if they added mortars that would have been crazy.
