Admire bronze pieces from the Dong Son period (3rd century BCE to 3rd century CE), marvel at imperial Vietnamese jewelry, and learn about the French occupation of Vietnam at Vietnam National Museum of History. Formerly an archeological research facility during the occupation, the museum today contains around 200,000 artifacts arranged in five major sections. The building itself represents an attraction: designed by French architect Ernest Hebrard, it displays an Indochine architectural style blending French colonial and Vietnamese traditional architecture.
