Van Phuc Silk Village, Hanoi

1.4
#37 of 73 in Shopping in Hanoi
Watch silk weavers and silk dyers in Van Phuc Silk Village, on the banks of Nhue River. Explore various shops with colorful shiny patters and take a pleasant stroll under banyan trees. Listen to the sound of power and manual looms making traditional weaving and premium silk products and take a close up view of silk worms and their cocoons. Boasting a tradition of over 1,200 years which clothed Vietnamese royal families, this is one of the best developed and most visited craft villages of 90 such villages near the capital. Some 8 km (5 mi) southwest of Hanoi, the village offers tourist facilities and traders speak English or French. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Hanoi holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Van Phuc Silk Village and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Here to know and buy the silks on Silk Street in Hanoi's really lousy. Viet Nam friends went together and really cheap I bought, I was back. It is often visited after a few years the design to evolve, so too can meet the same thing.

  • Read or display on TV, personal blog at real cheap and buy a personal tour-in went. Wanted to do a 'village' and so far away from the city when thought alone, traffic is terrible from time consuming distance is not so far, and a rural area when and was just a "town" level. Wicket gate, such as Dong Quai gate in the old city, right on its doorstep "Mao" is of and Studio's Guide says "Mao" is this neighborhood's most famous Studio in the J with-in the contract and the B will show me in that. During the workshop's no longer seen only in the Museum of history and of textile machinery and operate two more. And machinery to rewind the thread from SilkWorm, Bombyx Mori, in the children's home society tour. And behind that a little park-like area and shop, so we did some shopping. Was told to go further back are cheaper such as blogs and it was from the Guide at the back, this after going for shopping at stores around. Much cheaper than I thought but is not. J-B car in the b - calgaid "who go to Vai hook village in two years not only once" degree drop with Bachchan baked "silk products you can buy in the old town, away from the city, and a waste of time" and until said. I think each person's values, but at least J-B personal tour-in go, most likely from the guide said this so beware.
