  • We were really looking forward to learning more about Ho Chi Minh here. However, it's more set up like an art gallery (so if you're into art you might like it!). We found out very little information o...  more »
  • We went right before closing. We arrived too late in the case because the maosiliaum. How interesting and combines ancient and modern although the museum itself is interesting especially for those interested in the history of the place.

  • Since independence from France in the devotion to the young, and the Communist Party was founded on September 2, 1945, the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam ' established ' after the reunification of the North and the far Bank of the brave is a Viet Nam Ho Chi Minh's birth, May 19, 1990 100 anniversary of his grave, opened in the vicinity of a lifetime, as well as the relevant items displayed professionalism. • I believe that the high rating in Google was influenced mostly by locals. I thought I would learn something about Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam history. Apart from some illustrations from his hometown, there are only old letters (not translated) and some photos of uncle Ho. There's a nice design to the museum and AC, but if you want to learn more about Ho Chi Minh you better read Wikipedia instead.
  • Expect noisy school children in an environment where silence is expected. Note that if you are not familiar with recent Vietnamese history a lot will go over your head. And expect a certain amount of bias as with any historic narrative no matter where you are. You will need to do a fair bit of reading to get the most of it. English translations are presented.
  • I was very surprised but this was easily the least impressive attraction I saw in Hanoi. Lots of incredibly dry and serious exhibits showing handwritten letters sent decades ago, or photos of Ho Chi Minh shaking hands with dignitaries from some other country, and then upstairs there were a lot of conceptual art exhibits that seemed to have been abandoned completely - lights wouldn't turn on or signs would refer to things that weren't there, etc. A decent amount of it is multilingual - either French or English - but it barely matters as so little care has been taken. My advice is to visit the mausoleum, but avoid wasting your time here.
  • Historically important place I was visited two times Ho Chi Minh dead body there, thousands of people come every day to respect to comrade Ho, if u visit holidays u should stay in long q, other days normally no big crowd, also remember not allowed video or photo cameras bags take to inside the museum, next to the museum President house and Ho Chi Minh old house don’t forget to visit those historical places
  • Not worth the time. While there are some interesting exhibits, in general the museum has remained in the 1970s or whenever it was established. A depositary of artifacts, nothing more. Better go to the War Museum, the B-52 museum (very small, but good exhibition of a shot-down plane), or even better - talk to a Vietnamese person about history.
