Hanoi Zoological Gardens, Hanoi

2.0
#5 of 9 in Zoos & Aquariums in Vietnam
Take a walk around Hanoi Zoological Gardens and see the large variety of animal species kept in clean and well maintained areas, with attentive and caring keepers and the rest of the staff. As a part of a much larger park, it’s a favorite for many locals, as well as the visitors who want to take a break from the bustling city streets. The gardens are also a home to several thousands of trees, shrubs, and colorful flowers. There is a play area for the youngest, with karting tracks and other games, as well as a lovely, quaint bookstore on site. Hanoi Zoological Gardens is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Hanoi Edition.

  • It is always sad to see caged animals ... but for children who don't understand the distinction, the Zoo has merit. While I didn't enjoy it ... I saw hundreds of children awed and excited to see stran...  more »
  • The Zoo has more than 40 years old and have the category of large birds for the North. The Zoo is quite wide and the kids would love to play here.

  • this place dont really seems to be a zoo but more like a park for people to take a stroll in. The ticket price is now 10k dong, so the expectation cant be high too.  more »

  • Zoo was value for money, very cheap yet a decent variety of animals available, including elephants, tigers, lions, bears, hippopotamus. There were also theme-park-like attractions, with our children enjoying driving the (slow) bumper cars. The lake provided a nice view. The only downside was the park appeared run down & not well maintained, and located quite far from Old Quarter.
  • Thu Le park and zoo. Quite bored but you can enjoy fresh air in the busy city from here and also walking.
  • Shocking zoo so dirty, animals in small Cages all look stressed, half there fur missing, If you want to go to a zoo that the children feed the animals crisps and like your animals all chained up come here! Very shocking and horrible to see, I won't give no stars if I could!
  • Not a great zoo experience. Plenty of variety but they are so squashed into their cages. Not well maintained.
  • Beautiful lake, zoo, and some facility for kids. Not best in all 3 category, but ticket is cheap, and you can see all three in one shot.
