  • Learn the news thang long-Hanoi National Treasures exhibition is being held, I went. Location is a bit away from the old town. Next to the tallest at the Hanoi National Convention Center, Beijing's South Hanoi land mark Tower. The Museum building is the upside-down triangle making a respectable. Admission is free of charge, will get a locker key at the entrance check in their luggage. Inside is a structure going up the Central stairwell, which became a spiral ramp. There are 3 F, has exhibits of ancient Viet Nam was almost empty on weekdays or totally dark. I watched without knowing what is exhibited, and so far do not have electricity. 4th floor is decorated with the artists in Viet Nam who is here is stacked State is still not satisfying exhibition. Important national treasures exhibition of thang long-Hanoi was being held in the middle of the first floor, but nothing halfway. Not done yet in the people in charge had been working. It's about 6 half 12 exhibits in the news, and I saw, there was. There were many feel is building the exhibits can be reasonably good, but overall the waste.

  • I visited this museum on Sunday morning, and after 30 min visiting the ground floor exhibitions they announced they will close for lunch. A museum which is supposed to attract visitors, especially dur...  more »
  • The Hanoi Museum is located in a new building area with many large construction sites. After 7 years it is amazing how come down the building (built in 2010). 25% of the display lighting is unfortunately broken, some exhibits are definitely worth a visit. Photography prohibited. The Museum is rather sparsely populated. Over proportioned unit showcases, where the exhibits are unfortunately too low. Some very beautiful ceramics and pottery, bronze vessels, very nice simple things from the 11th 13th centuries. Am not a fan of wood with mother-of-Pearl inlay. The use of design from the 40s/50s is poorly presented. The interior design can not compete with the outer shell. In the Centre a Guggenheim spiral ramp for the poor. Hinged walls and showcases and railings broken in the Park and walkways, pitfalls in the sidewalks at troughs. However, I have not regretted the visit. The taxis there were no complaints of 90 - 120 K VND from the Temple of literature from are common in the distances.

  • Abandoned hollow place... It was designed as a super modern, super cool museum but now it looks terrible. Exposition is not interactive, not attractive, not interesting at all. One level is entirely closed. A half of lamps doesn't work. Poorly English translation. There is only one plus: it's free.
  • not allowed to take camera inside. the collections are no so many. you can find some vase from China and Japan. not all instruction are both in Vietnamese and English. must be improved, then it will meet the standard of capital.
  • Disappointing. The building is really nice and the exhibition is for free, but when inside you find yourself in empty and dark rooms with several items with no background explanation.
  • It's a disappoint. This place is not used for anything. Waste time and money
  • Possibly the worst museum I've been to. Mostly pots or vases in half lit or even completely unlit displays. Wife got shouted at for using a toilet!? Plus it's miles from the old quarter with nothing near it. Nice building I guess but avoid, Hanoi has so many better things to do.
