  • There were extensive road works happening toward the summit in April 2017. This made the motorbike ride up and down a little dangerous, in particular when the fog set in. The walk up to the pagodas was well maintained, and on the day we went up there were barely any people there. Ba Vi national park is an excellent day escape from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi.
  • This place is gorgeous! So many different places to explore, it's quite the adventure! You need to pay a park entrance free which is under $5 USD. And unless you have a long day with lots of day light hours and are fit, I woudn't be planning on trekking up the bitumen road or anything. Either hire a bus and take some mates or go through a tour company to make the best of what this national park has to offer. The trek up the top of the mountain to the temple to the right (there's two temples, one on the left and one on the right) is well worth it! Hard work up the somewhat dangerous stairs but just go slow and keep your wits about you and you'll be glad you went!
  • The nature here is preseved and very greeny. Just come and enjoy it
  • Great roads, stunning views, no traffic. An exceptional ride!! There's also a restaurant, a bar and a cafe along the way
  • Good for a day with motor bike, the road up hills is fabulous, but the road work up the hills anoyed people. You can camp at the Flat Rung Thong after the entrance 300m. Entrance ticket about 60,000 VND.
