Halong Bay, Halong Bay
(4.1/5 based on 6,500+ reviews on the web)
Cruise among the conical peaks and karst pillars of Halong Bay, a World Heritage Site-honored scenic seascape of various limestone landforms modeled into natural arches and towers by coastal erosion. This site features nearly 1,600 mostly uninhabited islands and islets. Legend has it that this is the place from which a mountain dragon plunged into the sea, crushing the land with his powerful tale and leaving behind a scatter of islets. Go kayaking, explore caves, visit a fishing village, or spend the night in an island bungalow. The extreme popularity of the bay among locals and tourists alike has taken a toll on the natural environment-- sometimes the water is so polluted that it is not suitable for swimming or snorkeling. Plan your visit to Halong Bay and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Halong Bay travel itinerary maker.

  • Spectacular scenery and essential to make night aboard one of the cruises to contemplate and explore some of the Islands. We were there at the beginning of December and the temperature was lukewarm as a spring/fall in Spain. To enjoy fully recommend going at another time when you make more heat so you can enjoy the beach and kayaking excursion and to be able to swim. He only point negative is the amount of boats that there is and the dirt of the water, think that is les is escaping of them hands the amount of tourism that receive and not take measures for care and protect the environment and environment. A pity because it is beautiful!
