Dong Thien Cung, Halong Bay
(3.6/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
One of the main sites in the network of caves surrounding Ha Long Bay, Dong Thien Cung sits shrouded in local myths of dragons and lovers. During this first stop on many of the bay’s cave tours, you'll encounter a complex, naturally formed interior of stalactites, stalagmites, and cathedral-like dome ceilings spread over roughly 10,000 sq m (10,7639 sq ft). Said to have hosted the seven-day wedding festivities of the dragon king and cloud princess, many of the eerily lit rock formations are attributed to guests of the mythical party turning into stone. Ask your guide to point out the numerous characters while carefully walking to the center of the cave. Work out when and for how long to visit Dong Thien Cung and other Halong Bay attractions using our handy Halong Bay vacation generator.

  • I think maybe automatically built into the cruise. After lunch as the two-hour cruise to the cave. 100 steps to climb all the 200 steps down, slowly listening to guides on Board again, back to the cruise departure port. Cave, as well as many caves of China and Asia illuminated by multicolored lights so beautiful and fantastic people are loud, and people. I don't think great big cave is modest, but also similar cave people if you will. As the outside temperature in the cave is, in December this year was about 20 degrees. From inside the River, not dry. Not good walking shoes and caves from intermediate risk. I would never recommend high heels.

  • In the past went to the caves of Okinawa, Cheju Island, was impressed by the cave here was also nice. Get off the ship, the somewhat steep stair to a 4 or 5-equivalent. Perhaps not so much an old steep anyway, but maybe it was because, I got tired, but my mother is pretty tough. Pause and then go in and deep limestone cave is lit up in colorful, was so fantastic. Stretched straight onto the stalactite ceiling made waves with rough textures and number one symbolizes. Not only that, every single sense nature. Is it darkly touch speleothems. Guide and does not listen to the tourists who had complained. Please note that go. So wet it was not wet so we went during the dry season, almost rainy season and also be aware. Followed by: back up fairly steep stairs, so watch out you.

  • We visited this beautiful cave with these stalactites and stalacmites. The visit lasted 45 m but it's well worth the time
