Lung Cu Flag Tower, Ha Giang

4.0
#4 of 18 in Things to do in Ha Giang
For many tourists, the drive or climb to Lung Cu Flag Tower is more impressive than the monument itself. Offering sweeping views of the surrounding area, the tower flies a big Vietnamese flag and remains a major symbol of patriotism. The monument was constructed to mark the northernmost point in the country, but the actual spot is on the border with China, just a short drive to the north. • I would say the tower wasn't so interesting and views were definitely not one of the best in Ha Giang. But we've enjoyed the roads on motorbikes and views along them. If you enjoy riding motorbike, ju...  more »
  • Cool view of Ha Giang province. You can also spot China from the top of the flag pole tower. Would recommend not putting gravel in the hill to the top of Cung Lu flag pole (we slipped with our motorbi...  more »
  • Prior to the arrival of almost sunset time to accompany the chapter here has arrived. The wind is too washed out. That is where more meaningful to the people of Viet Nam. The tower is the scenery is very nice.

  • We managed to get there during good weather and the views are great. Remember to walk up to the top to see the views from the very top. We also got to see the flag being changed (which happens only around once a month) so it was amazing to see the flag up close and how big it was.
  • I was there in foggy weather, so I couldn't see anything. I don't think I would recommend others to drive the extra hour each way to get there in bad weather, but if you just want to cross it off your list, then go for it. The entry fee to get to the top was 25k
  • Historic starting point of Vietnam. Symbol of nation. 54m2 flag presents for 54 ethnic minority communities in Viet nam
  • The Flag Tower was enormous. We climbed on the top of the tower. I was very windy up there.
  • Great place, not disabled friendly however. Beautifu views and a small coffee shop at the back of the visitor centre area, with beautiful views from there.
