(1.1/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Enter a seafood galore at Duong Dong Market, the largest market on the island right on the banks of the Duong Dong River. Get some shiny eels, flapping mackerel, barracuda, shrimps, squid, clams, shellfish and crabs. With daily loads of fresh catch brought regularly to the market, you can observe fishermen unload the catch. Freshwater fish is also available. Vegetables, live chickens, meat and other consumer products are sold in a bustling atmosphere. You can also get dried fish and squid and get your Phu Quoc fish sauce. Try local dishes sold at the stands like fish noodles, fried rice porridge and noodle soup and caramel with various nuts. • It is a night market based on supply of fish and other marine products from cooking and eating in place. Don't expect price from Vietnamese ... it's all pretty expensive unless you find the right place. I heard even shoot a price of 200 dollars for a nice lobster! There are also stalls selling wooden souvenirs, t-shirts, beads and many other products. Obviously the whole thing is designed to strip the tourists but, knowing how to behave, it is still interesting to visit.
