Lady Buddha, Da Nang

(4.4/5 based on 2,000+ reviews on the web)
Known as Vietnam's tallest Buddha statue, Lady Buddha sprinkles offshore fishermen and sailors with holy water to bring them prosperity and good fortune. Standing 72 meters (236 ft) tall, the statue faces the Son Tra Sea from a mountain, overlooking the city and distant landscapes. As you arrive at the pagoda gate, notice how the vast complex surrounding the statue combines modernity and tradition. Constructed of white marble, each of the structure's floors celebrate a different incarnation of Buddha.
