Dragon Bridge, Da Nang

4.2
Crossing the Han River, Dragon Bridge represents a 666 m (2,185 ft) long symbol of the country's revival and prosperity. Opened in 2013, the award-winning bridge was designed by US-based engineers and features a dragon's head shooting fire plumes and hissing clouds of vapor from its mouth, a spectacular pyrotechnic show. Observe the lightshow created by thousands of LEDs, which illuminate the bridge in a colorful spectrum and make the river dazzle beneath it. • I visited this bridge thinking it was not worth my time, but boy it was quite a sight to behold. The bridge is right beside a beautiful riverfront and during December, it’s cooling to go for a jog in ...  more »
  • Dragon bridge is just a long bridge with a large wavy yellow Dragon in the centre. On weekends at 9pm the Dragon head breathes fire. Good to look at and perhaps take a photo.  more »
  • During the daytime, but at night the bridge for a tacky feel not quite light if the feeling is different flare. Speeches are good spots overlooking the splendor of light just one, every Saturday night at 9:00 a 10-minute walk from the water head for that visit to the performance. A little early at 8:30 am to arrival in the vicinity of the head for arrived ahead of time, you can see a lot of them waiting for the show. But do not expect much for show, as a tourist is satisfied with the fact that the whole saw it as a memorial to Da Nang. Review score is one of the reasons, not only points.

Where to stay in Da Nang

Da Nang contains surprisingly abundant hotel options, despite its relatively low-key tourism. The rainiest season lasts from September to December, while the drier spring sees more travelers; still, you generally don't need to book a room very far in advance. A broad range of hostels for backpackers on budgets clusters near the beach and on the west side of the Han River. Spectacular resorts line the oceanfront, many offering private beach access, spa packages, water sports, and diving.
