Da Nang Cathedral, Da Nang
(3.2/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
A sugar-pink structure lavishly decorated in the Gothic style, Da Nang Cathedral stands out as the only church in Da Nang. Constructed in 1923 by a French priest, the cathedral remains the only religious imprint left by French colonialists in the city. Approach a 70 m (229.7 ft) chocolate-box bell tower topped with a rooster weathervane, before entering a simply adorned interior of elegant arches and stained glass windows. Home to the Roman Catholic diocese in central Vietnam, the church serves over 4,000 of the local Catholic community, so get here early if you want to catch a sermon to avoid missing out on a seat. • The Cathedral itself is interesting surrounding park and side galleries. Unfortunately, for some reason it was closed and could not get inside. One of the earliest and best preserved cathedrals in the era of French colonization. Beautiful stained-glass Windows. Well-groomed territory. The unusual pink color of whitewash. If you go around counterclockwise, you can get into the cave, where there is a gravestone of the first Vietnamese Catholic Bishop (it is possible that the Tomb actually real). Ta lot of flowers, incense, and 2 his portrait. Around the perimeter of the planted trees that create a beautiful backdrop for your photos. In General, visit worth it. At least and at 15 minutes.

  • The catherdal is very unique and attractive because of the pink colour. Near the catherdal there is a local bus stop. But the front door is always closed that the entrace is actually behind the alley, and many tourists may always misunderstand the route of entering into.
  • It's is what you can actually see from pics attached. Church isn't open for public viewing unless U attend mass during stipulated times.
  • Lovely place, close to the city
  • If you are with wife or someone. Go and take some photos. Pink. Pink. Pink.
