Religious Site Tourist Spot
Explore a peaceful compound near Tuyền Lăm Lake at Thien Vien Truc Lam, which practices the teachings of Zen Buddhism. As you approach the holy site, notice the prominent bell tower and the pagoda's tiled roofs as they contrast the surrounding pine forest. You can access the temple either directly via 61 steps, or go past the lake and climb 222 steps to the main courtyard through the triple-gated entrance. The public area located on a spacious plateau overlooks Benhuit Mountain and contains a ceremonial hall with a lotus-seated Gautama Buddha statue, flanked by guest facilities and a rose garden on the left and a bell tower on the right. The domestic area for monks and nuns remains closed to the public. • Wonderful place with beautiful sculptures and kind monks. As an American these people were kind and I believe I saw some signs in English. This seems to be good place to pray and get away from modern society.
  • Serene, beautiful, incredible garden. Kind Zen Buddhist monks to greet you. Foreigners are welcomed to come learn to improve their meditation practice - just arrive early to arrange with the Guest Master, a lovely man. Taking the gondola to reach the monastery you fly over the top of a gorgeous pine forest. Highly recommended.
  • A must see place in Da Lat. Ones who are interested in Buddhism should come here to learn more about one of the Vietnamese Buddhist branch. The landscape is amazing for pictures too.
  • The place is quite beautiful and clean, however don't buy the corn. Sucks. The rest
  • almost obsessively attended gorgeous gardens, beautiful buildings and friendly monks make this place a heaven on earth. we went on the full moon day and they gave us one of the most fulfilling meals that we ever had in vietnam.
