Located just off the city centre resides the calming atmosphere of The French Quarter. Notice how unusual this part is to the rest of the city as it houses various French style villas that were built during the 19th century when the French colonised the area. It was regarded as somewhere where they would stay during the summers. Most are abandoned and you can enter them which provide an eerily beautiful insight into what was once a very busy area. Visited the French Quarter on a bike tour we done, unfotunately it has lost all it's lustre & charm.
Although not all are well kept, as a long term resident in Asia - it is nice to see a little piece of Europe in Dalat - and they fact that they have not knocked down or renovated these beautiful build... read more »
It is really hard to locate with google maps and it brought us round and round. There is a really beautiful garden surrounding it.
