Elephant Falls, Da Lat

3.8
#1 of 14 in Parks in Da Lat
Feel the force of nature as you stand on giant boulders in the middle of the water at Elephant Falls, a massive 30 m (98 ft) tall curved waterfall crashing onto the rocks below. Set amid rugged terrain surrounded by a heavily farmed area with some pristine forests, small caves, and ancient trees, the waterfall got its name after a local legend involving elephants and the song of a heartbroken girl. Following a steep, slippery walk on stone steps with some railings, you can reach an observation point above the falls. Below, you can also enter a small cave behind the falls, where you'll get sprayed with misty water. Lying some 30 km (18.6 mi) from Dalat, you can reach the site easily by catching a local bus. Elephant Falls is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Da Lat Edition.

We had rented a scooter and are here. It's a fun adventure and the waterfall is beautiful! It is quite a climb down so my advice is to good shoes. Wind-can you be a bit wet in some places.
