Elephant Falls, Da Lat
(3.8/5 based on 950 reviews on the web)
Feel the force of nature as you stand on giant boulders in the middle of the water at Elephant Falls, a massive 30 m (98 ft) tall curved waterfall crashing onto the rocks below. Set amid rugged terrain surrounded by a heavily farmed area with some pristine forests, small caves, and ancient trees, the waterfall got its name after a local legend involving elephants and the song of a heartbroken girl. Following a steep, slippery walk on stone steps with some railings, you can reach an observation point above the falls. Below, you can also enter a small cave behind the falls, where you'll get sprayed with misty water. Lying some 30 km (18.6 mi) from Dalat, you can reach the site easily by catching a local bus.
