  • We stayed in the homestay for one night. At the time it was real homestay where we slept in one room in the same house with the family, which was very nice. The family was building two new bungalows n...  more »
  • Visit that makes you understand more of the Viet Nam, in particular of the Mekong, but it is dispensable. What happens is that few things more you can do in the Mekong, following the visit of the floating markets.

  • Extremely helpful people. They arranged boat tour for us (2 people) in Mekong delta only for 110.000/hour and we had a blast with local grandpa rowing the boat. They even provided us with Vietnamiese hats so we felt like locals. Great experience !
  • The family home on Tân Phong island is a real homestay. It's not a hotel or a guesthouse, we ate with the family and slept in a room inside their house. The dinners were superb. All members of the family, the dad Chú, the mum Cô and the son and daughter Duy and My were gentle, real people. It's so pleasant to take a break from the tourism industry shysters with some human beings. We had a lot of fun using bikes to ride around the island, and we met a local man who let us use his boat on the river. In Cái Bè town we found an old French administration building. We had no idea it was there from any guidebook, it's just something you'll have to discover for yourself. You'll find it if you take the road that runs north-south parallel to Caí Bè town's west bank ;)
